Advent Week 4: Love That Came Down
The final week of Advent centers on love—the love of God revealed in the most extraordinary way: through the birth of His Son, Jesus Christ. Christmas is, at its heart, a love story. It’s the story of a Creator who refused to leave His creation in brokenness, a Father who sent His beloved Son to rescue us, and a Savior who willingly came to dwell among us, ultimately giving His life so that we might live.
For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. – John 3:16
Love That Came Down
The Apostle John wrote, “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us” (John 1:14). In Jesus, love came down and made its home with us. God didn’t send an angel or a message—He came Himself.
